FF/EMT  Brian  Moore has attended and  received the  2009 Spirit of Courage Award from the  Lehigh Valley Health Network Valley  Preferred Burn  Prevention Foundation. Held  at the  Lehigh  Valley Hospital Muhlenberg  Campus. Brian  received his  award in  front of over 500 attendees. Brian is the first  firefighter  in the History of the  Department  to received this  award .                          
 
 Brian  received this award for his courageous action  when coming across a motor vehicle accident on  Interstate 81 when on his way home from work. With  fire evident, Brian rescued the  trapped occupant  of the vehicle.

This  Award coincides with the  commendation  award  that  Brian  has  already  received from West Hazleton  Borough  Council.

We  salute  Brian  for this  accomplishment and  are proud he serves the  residents of the  Borough  and  surrounding  areas.
